About WorkAid

WorkAid places Filipino accounting professionals with Australian accounting practices. WorkAid’s Philippine company is your employer, so your pay, government contributions and HMO come from us. Day to day, you work with one Australian practice, from your own home.

About the job

You’ll keep the books for the clients of one Australian accounting practice: coding, reconciling and getting month-end ready for the practice to review. It suits someone who likes books that balance and notes that make sense to the next person.

What you’ll do

  • Code transactions and reconcile bank and credit card accounts in Xero or MYOB
  • Follow up anything that doesn’t match until it’s sorted
  • Prepare invoices and process expenses and receipts
  • Prepare month-end work and reports for the practice to review
  • Keep clear notes on each client file

What you’ll need

  • At least 2 years of bookkeeping for Australian clients
  • Daily use of Xero or MYOB
  • A good grasp of GST coding and bank reconciliations
  • Clear written English, and the habit of asking when something is unclear
  • A quiet, private space at home and reliable internet
  • Able to work Sydney business hours (see Schedule)

Nice to have

  • Both Xero and MYOB
  • Receipt or bill capture tools
  • Experience inside an accounting practice

What you get

  • A full-time job with a Philippine employer: a payslip, not an invoice
  • Pay in pesos, twice a month, by bank transfer
  • SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG, with WorkAid’s share paid
  • HMO cover from your start date
  • 13th month pay
  • Paid leave and Philippine regular and special holidays
  • A WorkAid laptop, set up before your first day
  • No commute
